About the Brent Hatcher Benevolent Fund
The Brent Hatcher Benevolent Fund (BHBF) is a fund for active firefighters (paid or volunteer), ensuring that surviving families will receive a minimum $1,000 in the event of the death of a member firefighter, whether in the line of duty or not.
Becoming a member of the Brent Hatcher Benevolent is the perfect way to prepare for the worst and make sure your family and other firefighter families receive immediate support. Learn more of how the BHBF got started.
If only 1000 firefighters sign up for the fund, a benefit check in the amount of $5,000 would be hand-delivered within 72 hours of notification. There are currently over 250 members.
Cost is $20 per year; the membership year runs from January 1 to December 31.
This is a great way for locals or auxiliaries to provide for fellow members of the fire service family.
