Who is eligible to apply?
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

2. Be a child or relative of an active or retired firefighter who is an OSFA member.
Where and when should you apply?
1. Applications are available year round at the following websites:
www.occf.org/scholarships/stavro
www.osfa.info/osfa/pete-lela-stavros-scholarship/
2. Information about the scholarship and how to get an application is printed each year in the February, March, and April issues of the Oklahoma Firefighter newspaper.
3. Applications for 2012 must be postmarked by April 15.
How to apply:
1. Fill out all parts of the application completely.
2. Submit application and all requested items and supporting documents prior to the April 15 deadline.
There are many methods available to ensure that your application arrives or is postmarked by the deadline.
The best way to meet the deadline is to complete and send your application early and not wait until the last minute.
You are also welcome to send a self-addressed and stamped postcard along with your application. When it is received in the OSFA office, the date of arrival will be noted and the postcard will be returned to you.
Other alternate delivery sources include delivery confirmation through the USPS or registered delivery through FedEx or UPS.
You can also bring your application to the OSFA office in person. The office is located at 2716 N.E. 50th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73111 and is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m Monday through Friday.
