General:

Lobbying for Pension benefits and Fire Service legislation is one of the most important services you receive. This is conducted locally, statewide and at the national level.

At the Volunteer Caucus your voice and opinions are heard and passed on to the Executive Board.

As a member, YOU can run to serve on the Executive Board which takes place during the OSFA annual convention. If you are elected at the convention by a statewide vote, you will have a seat on the State Pension Board as well. One member of the Executive Board must be an active member of the OSFA and a volunteer firefighter.

Your dues structure allows for an accidental death benefit of $1,500.00 which is delivered for immediate relief to your family within 24 hours.

If you are an active member of the Brent Hatcher Fund your family will receive a minimum of $1,000.00 within 72 hours of your death.

And, another very important benefit is your Museum and Memorial. Located at 2716 NE 50th Street in Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma Firefighters Museum is the most comprehensive, member-held Firefighter Museum in the U.S.! OSFA Firefighters and their family enjoy free admission!

Our Memorial is like no other, and each firefighter's name will be inscribed on the granite walls after you have completed your career in the Oklahoma Fire Service.
