Be a volunteer firefighter in Oklahoma!
Many cities and towns throughout our State are in need of your time and your skills. Training is provided. Many volunteer firefighters are eligible to earn a pension for their service. And, most volunteer firefighters qualify to receive the Oklahoma Volunteer Firefighter Training Tax Credit. If You Are:
- Between the ages of 18 and 44
- If you can present yourself as being in good physical condition
- If you have a good driving record
- If you can pass a criminal background check
- If you live within 10 miles of a Volunteer Fire Department
Then you might be a Volunteer Firefighter!
NOTE: Some cities and towns require that you have your High School Diploma or your GED.
