Pam Smith

It is with great sadness and tremendous sympathy that we must announce that Pam Smith, former Oklahoma State Firefighters Women's Auxiliary President (2007) and wife of two-time OSFA President Tom Smith, passed away last night.  Pam was always a stalwart supporter of the OSFA and the Women's Auxiliary.  She was always there with quiet and faithful support to her husband Tom during his time on the OSFA Board (1999 - 2003) and again when he filled in as an OSFA Board Member when John Futhey unexpectedly passed away in 2006.  Pam served on the OSFWA Board from 2004 - 2008 and was President in 2007, the same year that her husband was filling in as OSFA President.  Pam was awarded the OSFWA Woman of the Year Award this year at the annual convention in her hometown of Dewey.  She had a long, hard-fought battle with cancer in which she succumbed to last night. She will be missed by the Association and all that knew her.  Our deepest sympathies, thoughts, and prayers go out to Tom, Pam's family, the OSFWA, and the Dewey Fire Department.  Funeral information will be forthcoming when available.

Respectfully,
Matt Lay, President
Dereck Cassady, 1st VP
Mike Kelley, 2nd VP
Eric Harlow, 3rd VP
Mike Duncan, Past Pres
Phil Ostrander, Executive Director
