Volunteer Training Reimbursement Project

The OSFA received a SAFER Grant that provides stipends to active, volunteer firefighters who attend required training outside of their district.

Many events provide these training courses such as the John F. Futhey, II State Fire School; the Bob Smith Wildland Roundup; the many Regional Fire Schools that OSU-Fire Service Training is conducting as well as the many others the Career Tech Centers are sponsoring.

Participants of the OSFA SAFER Grant are selected by random selection using a sequence generator.  Our objective is to present an unbiased selection process from which firefighters are chosen without prejudice.

Unfortunately, these funds are not available for advanced courses such as Firefighter I & II, EMT-Basic, etc.

Fill out the contact form below and write into the comments box which event or events you would like to attend.
